Summer 2025 Came and Went...

Did you accomplish what you sought to accomplish?

Summer has ended and we enter autumn. The dark nights creep back in, crisp weather hits, and depending on where you live, the leaves actually change colors. I hope you accomplished all you sought to achieve this summer.

July brought independence day, local trips and car spots, and car week anticipation. August brought more travel and car week, and September brought a couple more trips and spending the rest of the month at home. Take a look and see what I got myself into!

July

On July 4th, word got around that the rarely-spotted Grigio Scuro LaFerrari was parked nearby to me. I quickly rushed over and was greeted by its presence. It’s a stunning car in person, and this particular example is one I’ve been wanting to see for years. It’s on original plates, has nice blue calipers, blue stitching, and even the OEM PPF (paint protection film).

I filmed a nice video showcasing how I get in and out of my Lotus Elise. It’s a small car, but I fit surprisingly well, even better with the top off of course. Give it a view!

We headed to the Hollywood Bowl to watch the Looney Tunes live orchestra. It brought me back to my childhood. It was fantastic to watch the clips in sync with the live orchestra, it made for a great evening at the Bowl!

August

As we prepared for car week, Fast Cars Ltd opened up their doors to give a preview of what they were working on. They are rarely open to this level, and it was great to see what pieces of machinery they had on deck.

Ben and I traveled to Houston, TX to check out Coffee & Cars’ first ever car show inside a baseball park! Hundreds of cars were in attendance, and we got to check them out on the field and all around the stadium. Highlights included an SLR Stirling Moss, Murcielago SV, multiple Paganis, Jaguar XJ220s, Lexus LFA, Ford GT40, and much, much more. Watch my video about it above, and to watch a video I made about a Cadillac on swangas, click here!

We absolutely love Houston. It was great to catch up with Danny, Alex, Tak, Chris (all pictured) and so many more not pictured! Houston is a fantastic city. Thank you to Alex for showing us around while we stayed with him and explored the city non-stop. I’m ready to come back (but maybe once the weather cools down 😉)!

Another new McLaren F1 chassis for me, 062 at RM Sotheby’s in Monterey 2025

Monterey Car Week came in hot. We hit all the events, including the Pebble Tour, Quail, Pebble Beach, and much more. We loved every moment of it, from late nights and early mornings, running around, checking off events and new vehicles, to seeing old friends and making new ones. I took a ton of pictures and videos of course, and you can see links below. I always recommend Car Week. It can be overwhelming, but a ton of fun.

My first time seeing this F50, the final prototype (with an epic standard-issue plate) located in Brasil, made it all the way up to the Quail Motorsports Gathering

A handful of 17 Ferrari F50s that made their way to the Quail Motorsports Gathering 2025. One of my favorite cars of all time, and epic to see silver, black, and yellow amongst red

Watch my Quail Motorsports Gathering video here. This event is a must-attend, even though the price continues to increase year after year. It’s an incredible place to see friends, eat delicious food, and catch some of the world’s greatest car unveils + classics.

Every year, we make sure to catch the Ferrari Tour as they make their way to the Pebble Beach Lawn. Usually a few dozen of the world’s rarest Ferraris get driven on their way to the lawn.

This is a 1948 Chrysler Town and Country Convertible belonging to the Keller Collection at the Pyramids in Petaluma, CA. You can read about it here and searching for “Chrysler Town.” It is car E2-05. Pebble Beach Concours is always a fantastic event and a great way to wrap up Car Week.

Ale and I on a waterfall hike in Maui, Hawaii

Just a couple weeks later, Ale and I took a trip to Maui. It was my first time in Hawaii, and we had a blast. We rented a car, drove all around the island, hit the beach, caught the Haleakala sunrise, did some hikes, and ate some delicious food. I need to return to Hawaii asap, it was an absolute blast.

Sunrise at Haleakala. It was freezing cold, and we woke up at 2 am to make it there on time. Thank you to our wonderful friends who we met that had two open spots for us!

A beautiful sunset on the west side of the island

Thank you to Cooper and Chris for putting on a fantastic Treasure State event, this time at Yamashiro overlooking Los Angeles. Once again, this curated, private event proved to be stellar, with fantastic vehicles and even better people around. Thanks for having us!

We headed downtown to check out the Macchinissima Italian Car Show. The venue was super cool, and filled with Italian cars.

To cap off the month, we stopped by the Art Center College of Design to check out their annual car show, where past students’ work are on display. The cars featured were in some way, shape, or form designed by previous students. Whether that’s the exterior of the car, interior, or even small trim pieces, no vehicle goes unnoticed. There was a ton of variety, and that’s what we love about this event. Watch my video here.
