Matthew Groner's Fall, 2024 In Review
See how I wrapped up the latter half of summer and early fall!
I want to personally thank each and every one of you who signed up for my quarterly newsletter! I will be sharing with you my automotive knowledge and giving you exclusive behind the scenes looks at automotive events and more. I hope you enjoy! Feel free to send in your thoughts, comments, and suggestions. This newsletter could not be possible without your support!
This Q3, 2024 (July, August, September) was a blast. These past few months took me on many adventures, including Car Week, a trip to try Erewhon’s latest smoothie collab, and even a group photoshoot with our cars. Read more about each experience below!
July: Group Shot On Angeles Crest Highway
In July, we managed to gather most of the friend group together on a Tuesday afternoon right at sunset at a large turnout on Angeles Crest Highway. It was not easy to coordinate everyone’s work and life schedules, but we managed to make it happen. Huge thanks to Nathan for being the coordinator! I cannot wait to see what everyone brings in 2025.
August: Monterey Car Week
2024 marked my 7th trip to the Monterey Peninsula. For those unfamiliar, Monterey Car Week features the world’s greatest automotive auctions, private and public events, and the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, noted as one of the most premiere in the world. I had a packed week, which included watching the Tour d’Elegance, attending the Quail Motorsports Gathering, and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Some of my favorite time is spent hanging out with friends, trying new food, seeing the cars, and meeting new people! I cannot wait until August, 2025. September: Chevrolet x Erewhon
Chevrolet teamed up with Erewhon to present the Equinox EV Electric Juice. This opportunity in Studio City allowed Ian and myself to test drive the new all-electric Equinox, and try Erewhon’s latest creation in collaboration with Chevrolet. We were the first to arrive for the public drives, and the Chevrolet team was so friendly. I think the car drove great, and could stack up well against the Hyundai Ioniq 5. I had a ton of fun making the video, and the juice was worth the squeeze. View the video by clicking on the photo!
